Terms and Conditions
By installing or using Receiptr you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Receiptr (“the App”) is provided by the developer listed on the Apple App Store for Receiptr (“we”, “us”, “our”). The App is operated from Australia. For support, contact us at app.receiptr@gmail.com
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement under Australian law.
- You may use the App as a guest
- You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, and any passcodes secure.
3. What the App does
- Log receipts (store, date, items, totals) and attach receipt photos from your photo library.
- Sync data using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit private database tied to your Apple ID, any failure in connecting to iCloud/CloudKit private database will result in storing the data on-device.
- Create grocery lists and view spending insights generated from the data you enter.
- Export your data as a JSON file from Settings.
4. Permissions and data storage
- Photos: If you choose to attach receipt photos, Receiptr requests access to your photo library. Selected photos are copied into the app’s container and synced to your private iCloud database.
- iCloud: The App requires iCloud to operate. Your data is stored in your private CloudKit database associated with your Apple ID; we do not receive it unless you send it to us (for example, in a support request).
- Backups/exports: Export files are created locally; you control where you send or store them.
- Notifications: The App may use push notifications for account or feature updates; you can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
5. Subscription plans, free trial and billing
5.1 Plans and pricing
- Receiptr offers paid plans (currently monthly, 6‑month, and annual) sold via Apple In‑App Purchase.
- Pricing is shown in the App Store purchase sheet at the time you subscribe
- Prices may change; the new price will be presented by Apple before renewal and you can cancel if you do not agree.
5.2 Free trial
- If an introductory free trial is offered, it will be shown before you confirm the purchase.
- You can start the trial without adding a separate payment method; Apple uses the payment method on your Apple ID.
- The plan will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- We may change or withdraw trial offers prospectively; changes do not shorten an active trial you already have.
5.3 Billing and auto-renewal
- By subscribing, you authorise Apple to charge your Apple ID for the recurring fee and any applicable taxes at the interval you select (for example, monthly or annually).
- Subscriptions auto‑renew at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto‑renew at least 24 hours before renewal.
- If billing fails, Apple may retry. Continued failure may result in loss of access to paid features until payment succeeds.
5.4 Cancellation
- You can cancel anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. We cannot cancel on your behalf.
- After cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current paid period; no further renewals occur unless you resubscribe.
